Hi all! First off, we are making great progress getting the packages ready and shipped. We thank you for your patience and we are working hard to make sure every last one of you wonderful fluffs gets the package they ordered.

Second:

We are helping an emergency fundraiser for an animal shelter that is struggling.

About Heartland Animal Shelter

Heartland Animal Shelter is a no-kill shelter in the Chicago area that saves over 450 dogs and cats per year. They have been saving lives since 2002, and hope to do so for many years to come.

These are just a few of the cuties they are taking care of right now!

The Crisis

Sadly, the COVID-19 crisis has hit them even harder than most. Chicago has been one of the epicenters of the pandemic, meaning that they have spent months banned from allowing volunteers or the public into their facility. They can't do any of the big fundraisers that normally keep their shelter running and need emergency funding. In their words:

"Due to the COVID-19 crisis, we need your help more than ever.

Because of the shelter-in-place order, we are closed to the public, our volunteer program is suspended, and all of our shelter events have been cancelled. Despite this, we are determined to continue to rescue the most at-risk populations of animals and so our work has not stopped. In order to save adoptable cats and dogs from euthanasia in our community, we must continue to innovate and find creative solutions to place animals into homes. This is not possible if our resources also diminish! The bottom line is: We cannot save cats and dogs without you.

We need your generous contributions now more than ever."

This can only change with your help. Furries, let's keep this shelter open!

The Solution

We are helping The Furry Fund, a furry charity organization, to spread the word about their campaign for Heartland Shelter. Their goal is to raise $1500 or more to help keep the shelter open - they're already at $641, but need your help to reach the goal. You can check out the donation page here!

Helping a good cause is reason enough to donate, but they're offering rewards to a few lucky donors. The first is a full-body, detailed character illustration by @kaijjuuu - check out her awesome work below. Plus, at every $500 milestone, they're adding another raffle prize!

How You Can Help

Organizations like Heartland Shelter can only get by in these difficult times with help of people like you. If you are moved by what you've heard here, please consider making a donation to help. Any donation (even just $1!) enters you to win in the raffle.

If you can't donate for whatever reason (we get it, times are tough!) please post about the campaign on your social media, that is a HUGE help!

Here's a tweet about the campaign you can retweet: https://twitter.com/furry_fund/status/1285267802765627393

Thank you so much!

Hey there guys! Rouge here with another update.

I didn't expect to have to post another one this soon, but I've been told that the dog tags we've been waiting on have arrived! This means we can finish up on packaging orders and start on printing shipping labels. with our staff stretched out, this will be taking two to three weeks and I will let everyone know if that estamate changes.

With that being said, we'll be accepting orders on compisation items (up to half of your pledge amount) for the next two to three weeks to give everyone a chance to look thru our webstore and send in their selections so we can have enough time to include them with your order.

Now, I have read thru emails and comments and have realized that it really hasn't been explained how to go around to get this compisation order in and who it's for. This is for anyone who are still missing reward items. Now, all you have to do to get this is to go to our webstore, pick out some tee designs that you like, make sure that the amount adds up to half of whatever you pleadged. from that point put them in an email and send it to  [email protected], along with your backer ID,  and we'll be sure to add it to your order.

If you have any questons, please feel free to send it to me at the same email as well. I'll be sure to answer it as soon as I can!

Hey there everyone, Rouge here! It's about time for another update, and I do have some good news. The only thing we've been waiting on has been the dog tag rewards and we've just gotten word that they've been made and shipped out to us! They should be at our wharehouse in 2 to 3 weeks (maybe sooner) and from there we can start shipping packages out to everyone who backed this project that have been waiting. I'll be sure to post another update when we get them in. From there we'll be able to say when we can get everything shipped out.

We are also still offering aditional items to compensate for your wait time from our web store up to half of your pledge. If you haven't please send us an email ([email protected]) with the aditional items you'd like from our store. If you have and we haven't replied to it, then please send it to us again and we'll be sure to answer you and add the items to your order.

Now, I do need to apologieze for the lack of responses to emails, lack of frequent updates and most importantly on how long these shippments have been taking.  Due to the various obsticles that we've had to navigate due to current events as well as within Artworktee, we've had to focus on some things more than others. I can say with 100% confidence that we're at the point where I can switch my focus more on the customer service side of things.  With that said I'll be able to post more updates as we progress. With that being said, we're starting to see the end of the delays that have have been dragging out our estimated shipping updates, which is why I'll say that in another update when we have everything together.
